ABOUT US

We Help You Find Your Healing

The Central Coast Trauma Centre is founded by BJ Murray. We work from a humanistic, strength based and relational framework. Those are big words; this just means that we don’t use a text book approach or a diagnostic label approach. We pay attention to YOU and then we use this information to decide together on the best approach. This means that we authentically show up for you and acknowledge the expertise that you have in your own life and how it has got you to be here today. We take an integrative approach to counselling and we draw on different techniques depending on you as an individual and your unique circumstances. One of the main techniques that we use is Brainspotting, it is a unique and powerful way to release and process stuck Trauma that might be holding you back for the life that you want.

At Central Coast Trauma Centre, we are Trauma Informed and this means that we don’t ask “what is wrong with you”, we ask “what happened to you”. This framework informs all our practices. We work with many issues including Depression, Anxiety, PTSD and Relationship issues and we often work with women who have suffered from Domestic Violence relationships and are needing long term support and healing.

If you would like a chat with us first to decide if we are the right fit, please book in a 15 min consult here.
